This Privacy Policy describes how Bryt Group LLC, doing business as Bryt Bookkeeping ("Bryt," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit or interact with our website at brytbookkeeping.com (the "Site").

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information collected through our bookkeeping services, which is governed by the terms of your engagement letter or service agreement with Bryt.

By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you interact with the Site, including:

  • Contact form submissions: Name, email address, phone number, business name, and any details you include in your message.

  • Call scheduling: When you schedule a call through our scheduling tool, we collect your name, email address, and any information you provide during the booking process. Scheduling is facilitated by a third-party platform (see Section 4 below).

  • Newsletter signup: Email address and, if requested, your first name and business name.

  • Other communications: Any information you send us via email or through the Site.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, referring URL, and browsing patterns on the Site.

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.

  • Location data: Approximate geographic location based on your IP address (city/region level only — we do not collect precise geolocation).

This information is collected through the following technologies:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects data such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms, to build audiences for future advertising, and to understand how visitors interact with the Site after viewing our social media content. The Meta Pixel may collect data such as pages visited, actions taken on the Site, and device information. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.

  • Cookies: Small text files stored on your device that help us recognize returning visitors and understand Site usage. See Section 6 below.

Information We Do Not Collect Through the Site

We do not collect the following through the Site: Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, tax returns, financial statements, or any other sensitive financial data. Do not submit sensitive financial information through the Site's contact forms, newsletter signups, or scheduling tools.

If you become a client of Bryt, the collection and handling of your financial data is governed by your engagement letter, not this Privacy Policy

  • To respond to your inquiries: When you submit a contact form or schedule a call, we use your information to follow up with you.

  • To improve the Site: We use analytics data to understand how visitors use the Site, identify areas for improvement, and optimize content and user experience.

  • To measure advertising effectiveness: We use the Meta Pixel to understand how our Instagram and Facebook content drives visits to the Site and to build audiences for future advertising.

  • To comply with legal obligations: We may use your information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers that process data on our behalf to operate the Site and our business. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Current service providers include:

  • HubSpot: Customer relationship management (CRM), contact forms, and scheduling. HubSpot's Privacy Policy.

  • Email service provider: Newsletter delivery and email marketing. We will update this Privacy Policy with the specific provider once selected.

  • Google Analytics: Website analytics. Google's Privacy Policy.

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): Advertising measurement and audience building. Meta's Privacy Policy.

  • Website hosting provider: Framer. Framer's Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business Transfers

If Bryt Group LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Our use of the Meta Pixel means that Meta may collect information about your visit to the Site and associate it with your Meta account (if you have one). You can manage your Meta advertising preferences through your Meta Ad Preferences.

If you unsubscribe, we may still send transactional or administrative emails related to an existing client relationship.

Most web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

To manage Meta's use of your data for advertising, visit your Meta Ad Preferences or use the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool.

If you unsubscribe, we may still send transactional or administrative emails related to an existing client relationship.

Accessing, Correcting, or Deleting Your Information

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at nathan@brytbookkeeping.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for the Site to function properly (e.g., session management, security). These cannot be disabled.

  • Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the Site. This data helps us improve the Site. These cookies collect information in an aggregated, anonymous form.

  • Advertising cookies: Used by the Meta Pixel to track conversions from our social media advertising and to build audiences for future advertising on Meta platforms. These cookies may track your browsing activity across other sites that also use the Meta Pixel.

7. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights include:

  • Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.

  • Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

  • Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. The Meta Pixel may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes under the CCPA. You may opt out of this sharing by adjusting your cookie preferences or using the opt-out tools described in Section 5.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

  • Contact form submissions and scheduling data: Retained in our CRM for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and manage the potential or existing client relationship, or until you request deletion.

  • Newsletter subscriber data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

  • Analytics and advertising data: Retained in accordance with the retention policies of Google Analytics and Meta. Typically, Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Meta Pixel data retention is governed by Meta's policies.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect through the Site. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

Do not transmit sensitive financial data (bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, tax documents) through the Site's contact forms or email. If you become a client, we will provide secure methods for sharing financial information.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
